Akhnoor, Oct 2: In a decisive operation, Akhnoor police successfully apprehended three notorious criminals involved in a brazen robbery at a local wine shop, where Rs 150,000 was stolen while threatening the salesman with firearms. The incident, reported on September 19, 2024, led to the swift registration of FIR No. 167/2024 and initiated a thorough investigation. The report was lodged by a salesman Suresh Kumar son of Milkhi Ram resident of Sungal Akhnoor.
Under the expert guidance of SHO Akhnoor Tariq Ahmed and SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma, the police meticulously analyzed CCTV footage, leading to the rapid identification and capture of the suspects. During interrogation, Amit Pawa @Sundi, Ashok Singh @Raja, and Vishal Sharma @Vishu confessed to their roles in the crime. The police recovered a Desi katta (illegal firearm), a motorcycle bearing registered number JK02AV 9058, one wooden lathi, and one black color bag used in the offense, and other key evidences.
All three suspects are documented hardcore criminals with extensive criminal histories, underscoring their dangerous nature. The police are committed to delving deeper into their network to ensure the safety and security of the Akhnoor community, highlighting their unwavering resolve against crime.
