PDSS inaugurates Model Kindergarten at HS Hiranagar & School building at HSS Nagri

Rajouri, December 18: Project Director Samagra Shiksha (PDSS), Deep Raj during his visit to Kathua district on Monday inaugurated school building at higher secondary school (HSS) Nagri Parole and Model Kindergarten at government girls high school (GGHS) Hiranagar.
The school building is constructed with a project cost of Rs. 56 Lacs while Model Kindergarten established with a cost of Rs.65 lacs under Augmentation Plan of Samagra Shiksha (SS).
Besides parents, teachers, & students, the functions were attended by Deputy Director Planning, Bilal Rashid, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kathua, Kishore Sharma; Principal, Jatinder Sethi ; Head Master, & members of PRIs.
“Initiatives of Samagra Shiksha across J& K signifies steps towards providing a nurturing educational environment for the young minds of the community. School Education Department (SED) is committed to providing quality education & SS is committed to provide state of art infrastructure & facilities,” said Deep Raj.
He announced Model Library and Open Gym for HSS Nagri within next 2 months besides laying of foundation stone shortly for newly approved school building costing Rs.1.40 crores.
He also informed that Principal Secretary Alok Kumar, is very keen in ensuring quality infrastructure even in remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
At GGHS Hiranagar PDSS, Deep Raj interacted with the teachers & students emphasized on the ECCE policy, underscoring the commitment to provide optimal development and active learning opportunities for children below 6years of age.
He also interacted with the Pre-Primary children of the school and said: “This Model Kindergarten reflects our commitment in providing the best possible education for the children of Hiranagar and future investment for tiny tots”.
“Approximately 800 civil works have been completed with the financial implication of Rs 160 crores during last year and for the current year target of 1200 works has been fixed for improving the infrastructure in the schools,” said Deep Raj.
“Students should concentrate on their studies rather than indulge in other anti-social activities and teachers must work to curb drug menace” he added.
Deputy Director Planning, Bilal Rashid highlighted the achievements of Samagra Shiksha.
The ceremonies remained testament to the collaborative efforts of the school administration, local authorities, and community members, which encouraged curiosity, creativity, and overall well-being of students.
