24 fencers to represent J&K in National C’ship at Pune

Jammu, Mar 22: As many as 24 fencers (men and women teams) will be representing Jammu and Kashmir in the 33rd Senior National Championship scheduled to be held at Pune in Maharashtra from March 24 to 28.
After the selection of the final team, screening was conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council Committee headed by Divisional Sports Officer, Ashok Singh alongwith Satish Gupta, Manager Indoor Sports Complex and other officials.
A 12-member Men team and an equal number of Women teams will be taking part in the Championship.
The teams in boys category is comprised of Vishal Thapar, Javed Ahmed, Amit Chib, Mayank Sharma, Sufyan Waheed Sohil, Ajay Kumar, Vir Sangram, Jasdev Singh, Prashant Chib, Mohammad Tariq, Praney Singh and Poorvak Suri.
The girls team is comprised of Riya Bakshi, Suhani Singh, Ashu Rani, Mansi Sharma, Kritarthi Kotwal, Shreya Gupta, Ananya Sharma, Rishika Khajuria, Gazal Suri, Riya Manhas, Preeti Devi and Aditika Salmat.
Shotu Lal Sharma and Rachna Jamwal, Coaches from J&K Sports Council to accompany the teams as coaches while Ranchan Sabarwal and Rahul as Managers.
Convener Adhoc Committee, Rashid Ahmed Choudhary, Supriya Chouhan and Maninder Pal Singh, Members Adhoc Committee extended best wishes to the team. UNI
