Jammu, Sept 18: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police team of PS Arnia, PS RS Pura, PS Jhajjar Kotli, PP Sidhra and PP Jourian acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized six vehicles involved in illegal mining.
“One tractor trolley bearing Registration No. JK02BD 2219, seized by PS Arnia, One tractor trolley bearing Registration No JK02BH 6710, seized by PS RS Pura, one Tipper bearing Registration No. JK20 2741, by PS Jhajjar Kotli, Two tractor trolley bearing Registration Nos JK02CG 3930 and JK02AK 0371, seized by PP Sidhra, One tractor trolley without Registration seized by PP Jourian”, Police spokesperson said.
The mining was done in violation of an order of the High Court of J&K. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law, Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
Meanwhile, Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Arnia, PS Gharota, PS Bishnah, PS Domana and I/C PP Canal Road acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized 06 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
“One JCB bearing chassis No. HAR3DXSSA21866255, by PS Arnia, One tipper without Registration No, by PS Gharota, One Tractor trolley bearing Chassis No. 1VY505DANA050492, by PS Bishnah, Two tractor trolley without Registration Nos, by PS Domana and One tipper bearing Registration No JK02 CU 6243 by PP Canal Road”, the spokesperson further said.
“During late night raids carried out by Geology and Mining Department along with Police, at Sardan, Bajalta, Anthem, Chelni areas two vehicles were seized”, DMO Jammu said, adding the raids were conducted with the active participation of SDPO Nagrota, SHO Nagrota and Chowki Officer Nagrota.
