Rajouri, August 24: Dr. Iqbal Malik, BMO, Kandi Health Block in Rajouri district has sought an explanation from FMPHW namely Hamida Begam posted in the health sub-center at Nahar Kassi for unauthorised shifting of a sub-center.
The sub-center was sanctioned in 2015 at Kalachangar and an FMPHW was appointed. Later it became non-functional after FMPHW was deputed in Darhal health block.
Again Dr. Iqbal Malik made the center functional in the house of (on rent) Mohd Ali by appointing Hamida Begam for vaccination along with the dead stock.
According to the explanation notice issued by the BMO today, and as per information provided by the Panchayat members, Khalida Begam shifted the sub-center illegally to a new place without intimation to the authorities.
Panchayat members demanded the center at its original place. BMO contacted the FMPHW telephonically to shift the center to its original place, but she sent a video that the house owner (Mohd Ali) not allowed to do so.
“This illegal & unauthorised act of yours has created problem for administration as well as patient health. In the backdrop of the above & before taking stringent action under rules , you are hereby directed to explain your position within 2 days. Further, you are attached to the office of CMO at Rajouri till pending inquiry,” BMO’s order read.
In another show cause notice, Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO has sought an explanation from Rahina Begam, and Jabeena Anjum FMPHW (NHM) posted in sub-center at Seari for their unauthorised absence from duties.
During surprise visit to the center on August 23, Farooq Inalabi, Sarpanch Kewal Panchayat found the sub-center locked during working hours.
BMO during preliminary investigation found that both the FMPHWs were absent from duties without any prior permission or leave & even though their whereabouts were not known.
“You are directed to explain your position within two days, failing which it will be presumed that you have nothing to say in this regard. Further, the salary for the month of August is kept, withheld & you are attached to the office of CMO till pending inquiry” read BMO’s explanation order.
