Rajouri, July 31: Health Block Kandi has introduced an innovative Weekly School Health Program; conceived by Dr. Iqbal Malik, BMO, under the directions of Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Saleem Ur Rahman and Dr.Hamid, CMO.
Under this innovative ‘Weekly School Health Program’ students are being provided holistic health services in their classrooms by Health Department Kandi (Kotranka).
For the last three months, Block Kandi has been organising School Health Program, where students provide holistic health services in their classrooms.
This unique series of weekly School Health Camps are being organised every Saturday in Kandi Health Block.
These school camps specially cater to the needs of the students, especially those from marginalised society, living in far-flung and difficult areas.
“Concluding the month of July, a health team on Sunday covered a trek of about 7 kilometers on feet to cover the Weekly School Health Program.
The health team screened the students for health & were given treatment for their minor ailments in government middle school at Sayari and in primary schools at Suu and Phagwali.
BMO Kandi Dr Iqbal Malik said that the “This unique program is highly appreciated by students, teachers as well as by the parents,” said Dr. Iqbal Malik, BMO.
