Two GMC&AH doctors among 3 detected positive in Rajouri district

Rajouri, July 5: The novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has once again knocked at the door of the Rajouri district and two doctors of Government Medical College & Associated Hospital (GMC&AH), have been reported on Tuesday.
As per official reports, 12 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Tuesday out of which two doctors, including a HoD and Nodal Officer were detected symptomatic and reportedly have been sent in home isolation.
On April 18 there was no positive case in the district, while at present there are 8 positive cases in the district and two have recovered today.
Official reports said that 98% target has been achieved as vaccination for those above 12 years of age is concerned.
Out of 12824 positive cases detected in Rajouri district during 1-3rd waves 12567 patients have recovered, 8 are still active and 249 died due to the pandemic.
“After detailed discussion with the higher authorities through video conferencing, it has been decided to educate the people to wear the masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses,” said Dr. Hamid Zargar, CMO, Rajouri.
He also informed that in all the health blocks in Rajouri district concerned authorities have been asked to conduct RAT tests for the suspects while RAT and RT-PCR testing has been started in GMC&AH.
