Jammu, May 19: Gangyal Police today arrested Notorious land grabber and history sheeter Ravinder Gupta alias Gola Shah. He was wanted in 20 different cases registered against him of land grabbing, cheating and fraudulent deals in various Police Stations.
Gangyal Police led by SHO arrested Gola Shah on the basis of a complaint lodged before the Divisional Commissioner Jammu by Kamal Singh, a resident of Lower Sunjwan, village Langer Jammu.
“I am here with a complaint against Ravinder Gupta alias Gola Shah who sold our land fraudulently under Khasa No’s. 580,600, 601,602,635, 637,643,645 (22 Kanal 18 Marla) 802,684 (50 Kanals) 1626 cte. situated at Revenue Village Sunjwan Tehsil Bahu Jammu despite matters already in notice concerning authority but nobody dares to put hand on highly influential and habitual land grabber”, Kamal Singh wrote to Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
Kamal Singh in his complaint said that they have not sold any land to him (Gola Shah) despite it popularly known colony namely Greater Kailash established on it by encroaching huge chunk of Nallah, custodian, ownership land, state and JDA land also sold illegally by attesting mutations under 3-A (Alif) by sheer violations of norms.
“Some fake registries also came to our notice when some persons came to take over possessions of illegally sold plots which were strongly protested by us. So, kindly look at the urgent matter to hold an inquiry on who and how a huge chunk of state and Ownership land sold on illegal mutations and further order to retrieve all encroached above mentioned prime ownership and state land by cancelling illegal mutations situated at Greater Kailash Colony. Jammu after verifying facts of complaint accordingly”, Divisional Commissioner Jammu directed Police to take action against Gola Shah.
“Implementing Divisional Commissioner’s order Gangyal Police raided at several places and apprehended him”, sources in Police told Jammu Jotting, they further said that Gangyal Police deserves appreciation for the job it has done of nabbing Gola Shah.
