29 +ive cases detected, 1352 children inoculated & ETs recover Rs 44,690 fine

Rajouri, Jan 11: During the last seven days, 86 Covid positive cases were detected in Rajouri district, while the Enforcement teams have recovered Rs 2,56,810 fine from 2586 violators of SOPs during this period.
On Tuesday, besides Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) & Tehsildar, Kotranka sub-district, 29 people were tested positive out of reports for 3486 samples taken were received.
The infected persons include a 7-year old (admitted in GMC at Jammu), 7-IRP personnel, a doctor, two health workers & a CRP constable.
Meanwhile, in order to aware the people about the 3rd wave of Covid-19, to aware about Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB)& other SOPs, Vikas Kundal, Deputy Commissioner (DC) on Tuesday flagged off a ‘CAB Awareness Van’ from Rajouri in the presence of Additional DC, Sachin Dev Singh & Narinder Kumar, District Information Officer (DIO).
“The mobile Van would move across all the sub-divisions to educate the people about the significance of strict adherence to CAB & implications in case of its violation,” said the DC.
During the last seven days about 90 persons, including 29 on Tuesday, have been detected positive thus raising the number of Active cases in the district to 91 which is a matter of concern for the district administration.
Today the health department has also collected 3506 samples for Covid testing.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Teams in Rajouri district on Tuesday have recovered a fine of Rs 44,690 from 452 violators of COVID SOPs taking the total amount fined since April 1, 2021 to Rs78,42,754.
During this week (January 4–11) 21555 samples, including RAT + RT-PCR+ True-Nat, were collected for testing out of which 86 cases were detected positive while one patient died.
At present, there are 91 active cases in the district out of which eight patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals, and CCCs.
13 patients are under treatment in GMC&AH Rajouri /Army /BSF hospitals and Mother & Child Care hospital (MCH) , 76 are in home isolation, and 2 patients are under treatment outside the district.
As many as 1352 children (15-17 years) were administrated the first dose of Covaxin on Tuesday and since January 3, 10777 children have been vaccinated in the district.
