Jammu, Nov: 24: Taking drug-menace as a personal challenge, the Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi district Shalender Singh KPS is determined to uproot this menace from
the entire district and he pushed sports to keep the youth away from it. His initiative is the best in the interest of the society and such initiative must be adopted by all the police officers to minimize the drug menace in Jammu & Kashmir.
The drug menace has gripped every nook and corner of Jammu & Kashmir and every tactics should be pushed in to get absolution from this menace. The idea of pushing sports in this aspect is one of the best options. He has chosen various opportunities for this purpose. He has already organized several tournaments engage the youth in constructive purpose and now he is focusing on the Volleyball game. He is trying to organize the Volleyball tournament in future as the people of Reasi have shown interest in this game. But he is opting that during Covid period how it should be managed.
A prominent social activist and district president Akhil Bhartiya Bharashtachar Nirmulan Sangarsh Samiti Reasi Mithun Bharti said that since Mr Shalender Singh KPS has assumed the charge of SSP Reasi the crime has drastically come down. He further said that presently the people are feeling secure and even midnight women are roaming without fear in Reasi. He appreciated the efforts of SSP Reasi to organize Volleyball tournament in future and assured that he will extend every possible help in this connection.
