Rajouri, Nov 23: In a bid to enforce Covid protocol across Rajouri district, the Enforcement teams on Wednesday fined scores of violators for roaming without wearing face masks and not maintaining a physical distance.
It has been witnessed that across the district the people have been found violating Covid Appropriate Behaviours (CABs) with impunity.
Out of 1929 reports received on Wednesday, five positive cases were detected, including a symptomatic infant, and the number of active cases in the district has raised to 20 while two patients were also recovered today.
Out of twenty active Covid cases, 3 patients are under treatment in the GMC&AH at Rajouri, three are under treatment in the Army /BSF hospital, fourteen are in home isolation.
As per the daily bulletin issued on Wednesday as many as 1222 people above 18 years of age were administered first (52) and second (1170) Covid vaccine doses across the district, thus bringing the cumulative number of doses administered in the district to 8,32,125.
During the first & second waves 6,39,079 tests, including RAT (4,84,657)and RT-PCR (1,54,422) have been conducted to date in district among them 11315 were tested positive out of which 11057 have recovered while 238 died including 183 during the second wave.
As per the media bulletin during the second wave of Covid pandemic, 4, 67,153 people have been tested for Covid-virus infection to date, out of which 7442 were declared positive.
Enforcement Teams (ETs) fined scores of violators of Covid-19 SOPs on Wednesday and have recovered a fine of Rs 24,900 taking the total amount fined since April 1 to Rs 64, 89,734.
The Enforcement officers urged the people to wear face masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest Covid Vaccination Center.
