Rajouri, Nov 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Tuesday convened a public grievances redressal camp here at Thanamandi.
The main issues related to developmental issues in various areas, including the availability of adequate water supply, macadamization, and renovation of roads, up-gradation of schools, better health services etc were raised before the DDC by the people/their representatives.
“District Administration is making persistent efforts to provide quality services to the common masses, that too at their doorsteps to ensure that they don’t face any inconvenience,” DDC said.
“Such platforms enable the District administration to know the multifaceted problems being faced by the general public and improve public service delivery mechanisms,” said the DDC.
Underlining the measures being taken to cover all the eligible beneficiaries under the Forest Rights Act, the DDC said that so far, as many as 640 claims have been cleared and strict instructions have been issued to the concerned authorities for the coverage of all eligible left out beneficiaries under the Act.
Related to self-employment generation activities, the DDC said that dedicated efforts are being made to enable the unemployed youth to earn on their own.
“Concrete measures are being taken to ensure 100% enrollment of the dropouts in schools,” said the DDC.
He appealed to the people to avail the benefits of the newly launched Aap ki Zameen Aap ki Nigrani land Information system.
“This new system will provide land records at their palm, just at a click. He said it will be a game-changer and will play a major role in the prompt delivery of services” said the DDC..
The DDC also appealed to the public to register themselves under the SEHAT scheme to avail the medical insurance coverage
