Jammu, Oct 30: An officer of Lieutenant rank and one jawan attained martyrdom in the line of duty along the Line of Control in Naushera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking to Twitter, Nagrota based White Knight Corps wrote, “#GOC #WhiteKnight_IA and all ranks salute bravehearts Lt Rishi Kumar and Sep Manjit Singh, who made the supreme sacrifice in line of duty along the Line of Control in Naushera sector and offer deep condolences to their families.”
The Army personnel this afternoon had suffered critical injuries in a mysterious explosion along the LoC in Lam area of Naushera Sector, said Army sources.
They said, “during a routine patrolling near the forward area in Lam sector, a mysterious explosion took place, which left them seriously injured.”
They were taken to the hospital but succumbed during the treatment. UNI
