Rajouri, Oct 29: To ensure 100% coverage under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in Rajouri district, Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Kumar Shavan has issued directions for the strict implementation in the larger interest of the general public.
Under the directions mentioned in an order issued on Thursday, all the banks in the district shall ensure checking of the Golden Card of the customers prior to performing any offline bank transaction in their respective branches.
“However, initial relaxation in the first two transactions can be given to avoid inconvenience in the beginning” the DC order reads.
The order further said all the Ration Dealers in the district shall ensure checking of Golden Card of the beneficiaries prior to issuance of the ration.
“However, initial one relaxation can be given in order to avoid inconvenience in the beginning,” the order said.
In the order, Treasury Officers in the district have been asked to withhold the salary for the month of November-2011 of those government employees who are not enrolled under SEHAT (AB-PMJAY) scheme.
According to Deputy Commissioner’s order, the directions were passed with an aim to extend free of cost health insurance coverage to all the residents of J&K because the Prime Minister of India has launched AB- PMJAY, SEHAT scheme which will ensure insurance cover up to Rs 5 lakh per family on a floater basis to all residents of the UT of J&K.
