Jammu, Oct 22: Additional Director General, Border Security Force, (Western Command) Chandigarh, N S Jamwal on Friday visited the International Border and reviewed the security scenario in wake of recent incidents in Jammu and Kashmir.
A Jammu-based BSF spokesman, DIG, SPS Sandhu said that Mr Jamwal, flanked by D K Boora, IG BSF Jammu Frontier reviewed the security situation on the border in wake of recent incidents in Jammu and Kashmir.
The ADG visited sensitive border areas of Samba and Kathua and reviewed the operational preparedness of field formations at the border, said the spokesman.
He added that he also interacted with BSF troops and appreciated the challenging operational duties being performed by them.
Mr Boora briefed him about operational commanders with their domination plans.
Mr Jamwal instructed them to be alive to the recent situation and strengthen their border domination more vigorously.
His touring of other areas of Jammu, Arnia and Akhnoor will continue for next couple of days, he added. UNI
