CMO among 4 tested positive in Rajouri, ETs recover Rs 27,480 fine from violators of Covid SOPs

Rajouri, Jan 4: The Chief medical officer (CMO), GMC employee, and two students (15-18 age group) are among four detected positives out of reports for 4883 samples received on Tuesday.
Health authorities have appealed to those who came in contact with the CMO during the last few days to follow the Covid protocol.
Meanwhile, as many as 5506 children in the 15-18 age group have been vaccinated on January 3 & 4. 2600 samples were also collected on Tuesday for Covid testing across the Rajouri district.
During this week (from December 27) 23491 samples, including RAT + RT-PCR+ True-Nat, were collected for testing out of which 12 positive cases were detected. The positivity rate remains 0.05% while there was no death due to Covid. 357 contact tracings were also conducted during this week while from 3279 violators a fine of Rs 3, 84,000 was also recovered during this week.
At present, there are 17 active cases in the district out of which 7 patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals, and CCCs.
Three patients are under treatment in GMC&AH Rajouri and in the Army /BSF hospitals, ten patients are in home isolation, one is admitted in the Triage and 3 patients are under treatment outside the district.
As per the daily bulletin issued on Tuesday as many as 13,740 people above 18 years of age were administered first (2733) and second (11,007) Covid vaccine doses across the district, thus bringing the cumulative number of doses administered in the district to 10,04,279.
During the first & second waves7,31,777 tests, including RAT (5,58,042) and RT-PCR (1,73,735) have been conducted to date in the Rajouri district among them 11390 were tested positive out of which 111234 have recovered while 239 died including 184 during the second wave.
The Enforcement Teams in Rajouri district on Tuesday have recovered a fine of Rs 27.480 from 285 violators of Covid SOPs taking the total amount fined since April 1, 2021 to Rs 76,13,424.
The Enforcement officers urged the people to wear face masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest Covid Vaccination Center.
