Kathua;05 August :- Continuing its efforts against drug menace, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS recovered approx. 11.45 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of OutPost Ghatti, PS Kathua, 01 drug peddler arrested and seized vehicle involved.
On 04/08/2025 Police team of Outpost Ghatti led by PSI Rajat Kotwal under the guidance of Addl. SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS & DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh established a special naka at Dawal Near Railway Track on Sakta Chak-Ghatti road during which one white coloured Renault Duster bearing regd No.JK02BD/1205 was intercepted by the swift action of police party,and upon questioning the driver of the said vehicle disclosed his name as Dheeraj Choudhary s/o Janak Raj R/o Kothey,R.S Pura Jammu.During his personal search 11.45 grams of Heroine(chitta) like substance,foil paper,lighter,mobile phone and cash have been recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 382/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation has been set into motion.
Kathua Police again request people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential.
