Ali, who had been on the run after being involved in multiple heinous crimes, was apprehended in a breakthrough operation carried out by the SHO Vijaypur Police Station under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and the overall guidance of SSP Samba, Varinder Singh Manhas JKPS.
The arrest was made after an intense and relentless search, with Fareed Ali, son of Lal Hussain, a resident of Rakh Barotian, Tehsil Vijaypur, being one of the main accused in two heinous criminal cases registered at Police Station Vijaypur. He had been a prime suspect in the sensational gang rape case as well as an attack on a police party in Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur.
