Jammu, Jun 06: In a shining example of dedication and compassion, Head Constable Jatinder Kumar Katal of the Jammu Traffic Police, stationed at Main Stop, Gandhi Nagar with DTI Rajinder Khajuria went above and beyond his duty to assist a confused teenage girl in crossing a busy road. The incident, which occurred during a bustling morning, was witnessed firsthand by this journalist while riding a bike.
The teenage girl appeared anxious and bewildered, stranded on the side of the road as traffic surged past. HC Katal, noticing her distress from the opposite side, took swift action. He crossed the road, effectively halted the oncoming traffic, and guided the young girl safely to the other side. His prompt and considerate response not only ensured the girl’s safety but also demonstrated a profound sense of duty and empathy.
