Jammu, May 28: A clash erupted over the illegally cutting of electricity wires of a family by the members of other family living in the same complex and in this regard a case has been registered, whereas the counter complaint has been filed by one senior citizen Sham Lal (67 years) against the two brothers who were the part of the other party.
It is reported that both the families are very close relatives and living in the same house which is ancestral house and both the families are equal shareholders. On the fateful day 25-05-2024, the entire family of Sham Lal has gone outside, during that time son of late Gopal Dass got an opportunity to do mischief to harass the family of Sham Lal and it is allegedly reported that Aman Kumar had cut the electricity wires. Due to wire cutting the power got snapped. On returning home, Sham Lal noticed that no power in his residence but at the same time there was power in the house of Aman Kumar. Sham Lal found out that the wire was cut to snap the power supply. Without naming, he started cursing the mischief person but one Aman Kumar started hurling abuses on his Taya Sham Lal. Meanwhile, a clash erupted between Aman Kumar and Sham Lal but Amit Kumar instead of dozing off the clash he joined his brother Aman Kumar to thrash their real Taya Sham Lal. One of them hold the neck, tore the clothes and pushed Sham Lal bitterly. Sham Lal is a senior citizen of 67 years, who deserve care from his nephews but nephews are manhandling their Taya. This is not first incident of wire cutting but in past similar acts of wire cutting noticed.
It is pertinent to mention that in the same residential complex the six families are residing since ages as it is ancestral house. Out of six families the four families comprises of the real brothers of Sham Lal. Among the four real brothers Sham Lal is the eldest. Whereas the other two families are of Sham Lal’s first cousins.
The report further said that there is clash between the families of Late Gopal Dass and Sham Lal even when Gopal Dass was alive and Gopal Dass has illegally put lock on the shop of Sham Lal, whereas, in this regard a case is pending in the court of justice and the matter is subjudice since 2016. Later Gopal Dass died but the conflict remained alive with similar bitterness.
The case can be easily investigated by the police if the CCTV footage of that day scrutinized minutely. The CCTVs have been installed in the house of cousins of Sham Lal. The CCTV will reveal truth and the cause of clash be ascertained easily. Moreover, the several members of other families (real brothers & cousins) also witnessing the clash and some of them intervened to defuse the clash. The other neighbourers were also witnessing the clash of Taya and nephews.
