Akhnoor, Sept 28: In connection with Ganesh Chaturthi, impressive Shobha Yatras were taken out for Ganapati Visarajan (immersion of the Lord Ganesh’s idols) in Chenab river of Akhnoor. Amidst beating of drums and singing of Bhajans in praise of Lord Ganesha, these Shobha Yatras were taken out from different parts of Akhnoor and passed through adjoining main bazar and bus stand before immersion of Lord Ganesha idols with proper rituals.
Elaborate arrangements were made by SHO Akhnoor Zaheer Manhas Akhnoor Police under supervision of SDPO Mohan Lal Sharma for smooth Ganesh Visarjan Yatras. Special prayers were held by people on the occasion.
An impressive Shobha Yatra was taken out by the devotees of Puli wala Mandir at Akhnoor today to bid adieu to Lord Ganesha (Bappa), who was installed in the temple since Ganesh Chaturthi.
The Ganesh Chaturthi in temple was celebrated with full yield under supervision of Mouni Baba Ji. SSP Mohan Lal Bhagat was especially invited by organizers, who had made elaborate arrangements for the Shobha Yatra before Ganesh Visarjan in river Tawi. The Shobha Yatra passed through Nirdosh Chowk, Bus Stand, Supply Mohalla and Jia Pota. Ashok Shastri, Babbu Magotra, Shiv Saraf, Vikas Verma, Shiv Mahajan, Raghuvir Singh, Shiv Gupta were mainly accompanying the Shobha Yatra.
Another impressive shobha yatra for Ganesh Visarjan was taken out from Pacca Danga Akhnoor which was organised by Ravi Verma, Akhil Verma, Munnu, Madan Lal Verma, Nikhil and others. DySP KD Bhagat DAR Jammu was specially present during the program. Similar Shobha Yatras were taken out from Choughan Mohalla Akhnoor, Hari Mandir Ghat, Arya Samaj. Sham Magotra, Sham Singh, Raman Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Sonu Malhotra, Raju, Rinku, Lucky, Munna Chandan, Shammi Jamwal, Ravi Mehra, Abhishek Ramgotra, Bittu, Rahul, Ramesh, Ankush, Atish, Naman, Krishna, Krish were others who actively participated in the celebration.
