Pratham Sindhu Kumbh Revives India’s Timeless Civilizational Heritage at the Sacred Banks of the Sindhu

Leh, Ladakh, June 26: The successful conclusion of the Pratham Sindhu Kumbh, held alongside the 30th Sindhu Darshan Yatra at Sindhu Ghat, Leh, marked a historic milestone in celebrating India’s rich civilizational and spiritual heritage. The grand event brought together thousands of pilgrims, saints, scholars, public representatives, diplomats and devotees from across the country to pay homage to the sacred Sindhu River-the cradle of one of the world’s oldest civilizations and the river that gave India its identity.
The sacred celebrations featured Sindhu Puja, Vedic rituals, Kalash Yatra, devotional programmes and spiritual discourses, reaffirming the enduring cultural and spiritual traditions that have flowed through the Sindhu for thousands of years. Participants from diverse regions, languages and traditions united in a powerful expression of national integration and shared civilizational consciousness.
One of the major highlights of the event was the International Conference on “Vishva Shanti” held at the University of Ladakh. Eminent scholars, spiritual leaders and distinguished delegates deliberated on India’s timeless philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and its relevance in promoting global peace, harmony and coexistence in today’s world.
The celebrations also showcased vibrant cultural performances under the theme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” reflecting India’s unity in diversity through traditional music, dance and folk art from different parts of the country. Ladakh once again emerged as a meeting point of cultures, faiths and civilizations.
A deeply emotional moment came when thousands of participants gathered to proudly unfurl the Indian Tricolour and reaffirm their commitment to national unity and integrity. The occasion beautifully demonstrated the harmonious blend of spirituality, patriotism and cultural pride.
