Jammu, Aug 12: In a stirring tribute to the spirit of freedom and patriotism ahead of Independence Day, Jammu Police, South Zone, on Monday organised a grand Tiranga Rally, igniting the streets of the city with vibrant hues of the Tricolour and echoes of national pride.
The rally, which commenced from Vikram Chowk, witnessed overwhelming participation from police personnel and civilians alike, including women, youth, and children – all united under the Indian flag in a powerful display of communal harmony and national unity.
The impressive rally was spearheaded by DIG JSK Range, Mr Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS), accompanied by SP South, Mr Ajay Sharma (JKPS), SDPO East, Mr Sheezan Bhat (JKPS), SDPO South, Mr Sunil Jasrotia, along with senior police officials including SHO PS Gandhi Nagar, Inspector Jai Pal Sharma, SHO PS Bahu Fort, Inspector Sushil Choudhary, SHO PS Satwari, Inspector JP Singh, SHO PS Channi Himmat, Inspector Deepak Pathania, SHO PS Gangyal, Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO PS Bagh-e-Bahu, Inspector Ashwani Kumar, and all In-Charges of Police Posts (ICPPs) under the South Zone.
This patriotic initiative, meticulously coordinated under the dynamic leadership of SP South, Mr. Ajay Sharma, and under the visionary guidance of DIG Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, holds special significance for Jammu District. It not only galvanised the spirit of nationalism but also reinforced the collective resolve of citizens and law enforcement alike to safeguard the ideals enshrined in the Constitution.
Participants marched shoulder to shoulder, waving the Tricolour with pride, while the air resonated with patriotic slogans and songs. The electrifying atmosphere turned the rally into more than just a march – it became a celebration of India’s rich legacy of freedom and the unbreakable bond between the people and their motherland.
