A historic budget session marks new beginnings for Jammu & Kashmir UT

Jammu, Mar 02: In a momentous event for Jammu & Kashmir, the Union Territory will formally begin its first-ever budget session tomorrow, with a key address by Lieutenant Governor, Mr Manoj Sinha. This budget session is not only significant as the inaugural one for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir but also marks the revival of the budget process after a long hiatus since 2018.
The last budget session for the erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir took place in 2018, under the BJP-PDP coalition government headed by Ms. Mehbooba Mufti.
