Jammu, Feb 17: As a matter of fact, components of women’s empowerment are: self-worth, access to resources, control and influence as an ability to change the direction of society. Recognising women’s achievements, I would like to begin with this quote, “Celebrate her story everyday “.
Hailing from Taldi village in South 24 Parganas District, West Bengal, Kolkata, Parvin Sultana secured the top position in the All India Industrial Training Institute, (ITI) examination, 2024 in the Mechanic Diesel Trade, securing an impressive 599/600 marks. Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee felicitated her and she also received official recognition from Delhi.
Her father Taziur Rehman Sardar, works as a Daily Wager laborer in a fish market, striving to support their seven member household. Parvin could not afford a tutor but generous teachers of ITI supported her. Now she wants to prove that girls can excel in every field.
Besides, Parvin was honoured at a public reception in Canning organised by the Trinomool Congress (TMC) and led by MLA Paresh Ram Das, Canning Panchayat Samiti President attends also, recognising her achievements. Rijia Bibi, her mother, voiced concerns about financial crises.
While excelling in the ITI exam, Parvin’s ultimate goal is to serve society through the Civil Services as she has decided to prepare for competitive exams. She is morning star of Taldi village and can be seen at national horizon showcasing that resilience and hard work can overcome financial hardships. Team of Jammu Jottings wishes her good luck.
