Amritsar, Feb 17: The city of Amritsar recently lost a beloved soul, Shashi Prateek, also known as Honey, who tragically passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. He was the elder son of Raj Kumar Sharma, the National Spokesperson of the All India Sanskrit Development Council. Shashi Prateek had been working at Punjab National Bank, and his untimely demise has left his family and the community in deep sorrow.
To honor his memory, a condolence gathering was held on the day of his “Rasam Kriya” (ritual mourning). The event was graced by several distinguished personalities from the region, who came to express their heartfelt condolences and offer support to the grieving family. Among the prominent figures attending were Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla, MLA from North constituency Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, BJP Central constituency in-charge Ram Chawla, and various respected councillors including Satish Ballu, Mithu Madan, Vijay Kumar, and Pawan Chaudhary (son of Councillor Surender Chaudhary). Other attendees included former councillors Pramod Babla and Devender Pehelwan, as well as many leaders from different sectors of society. Also present at the gathering were leaders such as Akhil Bhartiya SC Morcha Secretary Sardar Santokh Singh Gumtala, Akhil Bhartiya Sanskriti Vikas Parishad National General Secretary Yash Dev Dogra, and others. The event saw the participation of notable figures from both political and cultural backgrounds, including Sant Vishal Goldy, Sadhvi Behan from Mandir Roop Nagar, and Om Prakash Anarya.
