Rajouri, Dec 27: In a significant action against anti-national elements, Kandi (Koteranka) police in Rajouri district on December 27 have attached the properties of three terrorists involved in unlawful activities who have been declared absconder by the by the Court.
It is pertinent to mention here that a woman among 14 persons had been declared proclaimed offenders by Court of Munsiff/Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Kotranka on Tuesday (November 19) on the application moved by Kandi police through prosecution on 14/11/2024.
All the 14 persons (terror handlers) are absconded in the Challan titled State V/S Khadim Hussain & Others in FIR NO. 14/2011 under section 2/3 EMICO.
On the direction of the Court an announcement/ drum beating was also made by the police in Koteranka market asking all the 14 absconders to present themselves before the Court of Law within one month (30 days) failing which process for attachment of property under section 88 CrPC shall be initiated against them.
As the absconders failed to present themselves before the Court within 30 days, Kandi (Koteranka) police on Friday attached the properties of three among them namely Khadim Hussain s/o Dil Mohd resident of Kandi; Muneer Hussain s/o Said Mohd resident of Gakhrote, and Mohd Shabir Gujjar s/o Faqir Mohd resident Panjnara all in Tehsil Koteranka.
According to police the property attached include land of Khadim Hussain measuring 3 Kanals, 4 Marlas and 31 sq feet.
Muneer Hussain’s land measuring 2 Kanals and 8 Marlas; and 2 Kanals, 2Marlas and 253 Sq Feet land of Mohd Shabir.
Total property (land) attached by the Koteranka police is 7 Kanals and 15 Marlas which has present approximate value of Rs 18.5 Lakh.

This operation underscores the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the district administration to combat anti-national elements and safeguard public order. The police have urged the public to report any suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies to strengthen peace and security in the region.
The November 19 order of the Court of Munsiff/Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Koteranka read: “Hence, the accused persons are declared as proclaimed offender and written publication be made against accused persons to appear in person before this Court within 30 days from the date of publishing of the aforesaid proclamation”.
Declared proclaimed offenders have been identified as Khadim Hussain Kamlak s/o Dil Mohd r/o Kandi; Mohd Sharief Gujjar s/o Ismal; Sobhat Ali Gujjar s/o Fateh Mohd; Mohd Aslam Gujjar s/o Ibrahim and his wife Hakam Jaan; Mohd Iqbal Gujjar s/o Lantha ; Noorani Gujjar s/o Missri, all residents of village Larkuti; Mohd Azam Gujjar s/o Mohd Shafi; Gulzar Gujjar s/o Makhna, both resident of Gura Sarkari; Ghulam Hussain Gujjar s/o Nazir Hussain r/o Peeri; Muneer Hussain Gujjar s/o Said Mohd r/o Gakhrote; Mohd Shabir Gujjar s/o Faqir Mohd r/o Panjnara; Kala Gujjar s/o Misri r/o Dharsakri and Zabir Hussain Bakerwal s/o Abdul Aziz resident of Kanthol.
