India must urge the United Nations to protect Hindus in Bangladesh: Ravi Kant Sharma

jj correspondent
Delhi, Dec 10: Pt Ravi Kant Sharma, chairman of the World Brahmin Federation India and Sarv Aryavrat Brahmin Mahasabha, expressed deep dissatisfaction with the ongoing plight of Hindus in Bangladesh. Highlighting the increasing violence against the Hindu minority, including targeted killings and attacks on temples, Sharma criticized the Indian government for its perceived inaction. He stated emphatically that the World Brahmin Federation India would not tolerate this indifference.
Sharma called on the Indian government to take immediate steps to address this crisis. “The government must pass a resolution ensuring the safety and security of Hindus in Bangladesh and submit it to the United Nations. Furthermore, a plan to deploy joint international forces to safeguard Hindus in the region should be initiated,” he urged.
In a scathing comment on recent controversies, Sharma referenced the Waqf Board’s claims over a college in Varanasi, noting that Varanasi holds a unique and revered status in the global education and religious landscape. “Varanasi is a symbol of India’s spiritual and intellectual heritage, known for the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the holy Ganga, and Banaras Hindu University, among other cultural and religious landmarks,” he remarked.
Sharma also highlighted Varanasi’s historical significance as the parliamentary constituency of the Prime Minister and its contribution to Indian leadership, having provided three Prime Ministers to the nation. He emphasized that the global prestige of Varanasi should not be undermined by baseless claims.
He also reiterated the need for India to play a proactive role in protecting the rights and lives of Hindus in Bangladesh, asserting that safeguarding cultural and religious communities is a matter of national pride and international responsibility.
