Since 2014, Sanjeev Bhagirathi Pandey has dedicated himself to the cause of social justice, and through his relentless efforts, he has helped bring relief and justice to countless women suffering from domestic violence, exploitation, and neglect. As Vice President of Jan Sevak Manch in Uttar Pradesh, Pandey works closely with the organization’s National President, Reena Singh, widely regarded as the “Iron Lady” of the Forum, who has been at the forefront of advocating for exploited women. Together, they have been instrumental in creating a support system for women in distress, providing them with legal and social support, and ensuring that their voices are heard.
Sanjeev Bhagirathi Pandey’s work spans across the country, from Varanasi to Jammu & Kashmir, Ghazipur to Azamgarh, and even to international locations such as Sri Lanka and Pakistan. His efforts have brought justice to women in numerous states including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jaunpur, Shravasti, Kanpur, Uttarakhand, Agra, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal, and Mumbai, among others.
One of his most recent and impactful interventions took place in Ramna village, under the Chaubepur police station area of Varanasi. There, Pandey and Iron Lady Reena Singh worked together to provide justice to a woman who had been living under extreme distress for months. The woman had been protesting in the fields with her 9-year-old daughter, fighting for justice due to continuous harassment and abuse by her husband. Pandey’s intervention resulted in the woman not only receiving justice but also getting her own house built, providing her with the stability and dignity she so desperately needed. This act of compassion and justice has been hailed as a beacon of hope for the many women facing similar challenges in the region.
Apart from his role in Jan Sevak Manch, Sanjeev Bhagirathi Pandey is also the President of the ‘Child Help & Education Foundation Maharashtra’. Through this foundation, he has focused his energies on providing education and support to underprivileged children, ensuring that they have access to the resources they need to build a brighter future. His passion for education stems from his belief that empowering children through learning is the first step toward breaking the cycle of poverty and social injustice.
Pandey’s dedication to social work extends beyond just legal aid.
