Rajouri, July 20: Nine persons, including eight Physical Education Teachers and an agent of Rajouri district in J&K, have been charge sheeted by EOW of Crime Branch Jammu for arranging ‘fake Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed)’ degrees from Global Open University (Nagaland) for securing higher grades in the Education Department.
EOW of CB Jammu has produced 489 pages Challan against eight teachers and the agent through whom they procured fake Bachelor’s Degrees in Physical Education.
In this connection, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch (CB) of Jammu had registered a case under sections 420,465,467,468,471 201 120-B RPC (FIR No. 2018) at police station EOW CB Jammu.
The case was registered after a written complaint lodged by the unemployed Physical Trained Youth of district Rajouri which inter-alia alleged that during the year 2010 about 130 appointments were made in district Rajouri by Secretary SSRB Srinagar and most of the candidates were having Certificate in Physical Education (C.P.Ed).
The unemployed youth alleged that B.P.Ed Certificates were managed by the 8 teachers from the Global Open University Nagaland, whereas they never physically joined the University for attending the classes for B.P Ed.
Likewise, there are many other physical education teachers who managed B.P.Ed degrees, through Agents and produced the same before District Youth Services and Sports Officer at the time joined their duties and succeeded in getting grade pay of Rs. 2800 instead of Rs 2400 grade pay.
During the course of the Investigation, EOW of CB Jammu recorded the statements of complainants and also obtained records from the concerned Department.
Crime Branch found that the accused candidates were appointed as Physical Education Teachers in Rajouri district on the CP. Ed basis, however, they later managed fake B.P Ed degrees (seized by Crime Branch during the investigation from official record) & produced before the competent authority and succeeded in getting the higher grade pay of Rs 2800 to which they were not entitled to.
The seized record reveals that 8 accused have managed fake B.P Ed certificates with the help of the agent.
Eight accused Physical Education Teachers have been identified by the EOW Of CB Jammu as Shaida Akhter d/o Ghulam Qadar; Gulzar Hussain, s/o Mohd Iqbal, both residents of Chowkian Darhal; Parveen Akhter d/o Noor Hussain r/o Ward No 1 Kheora; Kuldeep Singh s/o Suroop Singh r/o Nowshera; Jamil Hussain s/o Lal Din r/o Dodsan Bala; Attamjeet Singh, s/o Ram Singh r/o Nowshera; Raghubir Chander s/o Kundan Lal r/o Patrara; & Neelam Kumari Sharma d/o Raj Ram Sharma r/o Thandapani (Sundarbani).
The agent has been identified as Mohd Shabir s/o Mohd Sadeeq r/o Saimsamit (Thanamandi) & presently living in house No.181 Balwal Jammu.
All the accused are residents of Rajouri district.
