Jammu, July 10: The North Zone Zonal Selection Committee have selected four cricketers of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) during a meeting on Mondat at New Delhi to select the North Zone team for the ensuing Deodhar Trophy.
As per handout issued by the JKCA, four players namely Shubham Khajuria, Vivrant Sharma, Yudhvir Singh and Aqib Nabi have been chosen to represent the North Zone.
The selectors have selected eight reserve players in addition to the main squad of 15 listing Aqib Nabi in the reserve, it said.
Deodhar Trophy will be played at Puducherry from July 24 to August 3, stated Brig Anil Gupta in a press release terming it as another feather in the cap of JKCA and the acknowledgement of the growing stature of cricket in J&K. The Sub Committee members have complimented the players selected for the Deodhar Trophy and hoped that they would make a mark in the tournament with their performances. UNI
