J&K situation has improves a lot in : Maharashtra CM

Srinagar, June 11: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday said the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved a lot.
Shinde who arrived here on Sunday on a three day tour to Jmmu and Kashmir along with his son and MP Shrinkant Shinde, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan.
Shinde said the situation has improved a lot in Jammu and Kashmir and referred to the “extraordinary increase” in the number of tourists to buttress his point.
After the meeting with the Lieutenant Governor, Shinde said “I had a courtesy meeting with Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha in Srinagar today. A lot of development and change has happened in Jammu and Kashmir”.
Shinde has also urged the Lieutenant Governor to provide land for the construction of Maharashtra Bhavan in Srinagar for the convenience of tourists visiting Kashmir from the western state.
The Lieutenant Governor assured the Maharashtra Chief Minister full cooperation in this regard.
The Chief Minister said that the construction of Maharashtra Bhawan will boost the economy of Jammu and Kashmir and help in showcasing the art and culture of Maharashtra in the union territory. UNI
