Budgam, Jun 21: Three militant associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were arrested in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district and from whose possession, arms and ammunition was recovered, police said Tuesday.
A statement issued to news agency, said that, police along with 53 RR and 181 Bn CRPF busted a militant module of Lashkar-e-Toiba and arrested three militant associates of LeT.
The police identified the arrested persons as Ashiq Hussain Hajam son of Ghulam Mohd Hajam resident of Zuhama Chadoora, Ghulam Mohi Din Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, a resident of Zuhama Chadoora and Tahir Bin Ahmed son of Ghulam Ahmed Hajam, a resident of Badipora, Chadoora
“Incriminating material of LeT along with arms and ammunition has that includes one Pistol Chinese, two Pistol magazines, 22 Pistol rounds, 1 AK magazine, and 30 AK rounds,” the police statement said, adding that one bike TVS Red colour used in crime bearing registration number JK 01N/ 8067 has also been recovered/seized in the case .
Police said that the case FIR number 114 /2022 stands registered at Police Station Chadoora under relevant sections of law. “Preliminary investigation revealed that arrested militant associates have been involved in transportation of militants, arms/ explosive material & providing logistic support to the militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba in district Budgam,” the police statement said.
