Delegation from UAE on J&K visit to explore investment possibilities: Sinha

Jammu, Mar 21: Stating that an investment upto Rs 70000 crore is on cards in next six months, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that a delegation from the UAE is on visit to the Union Territory to explore possibilities of investment.
“An investment up to Rs 70000 crores is expected in Jammu and Kashmir in the next 6 months,” Sinha told reporters on the sidelines of a function organised on the occasion of World Forest Day.
He said that a 34-member delegation from the UAE is currently on a visit to the region to explore investment opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The Jammu and Kashmir administration is engaged in the exercise of foreign investment and a 34-member delegation from the UAE has reached Jammu and Kashmir to explore the possibilities of investment,” said Sinha adding, “the delegation will identify areas in Jammu and Kashmir in which investments can be made and in this context, a program has been organized in J&K Industries Department in which this delegation will hold threadbare discussion.”
Sinha expressed hope that after the visit of this delegation, definitely fruitful results will be visible.
“The Government has already finalized the proposal of investment of more than 26000 crores in Jammu and Kashmir and land has also been allotted to take bring these proposals on the ground,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
Sinha however, also honoured employees of the Forest Department for their excellent work. UNI
