Rajouri, Feb 17: On the direction of Vikas Kundal, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Additional DDC Pawan Kumar on Thursday, conducted surprise inspections of the offices of Executive Engineer Rural Engineering Wing (REW), Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK), and One Step Center ( OSC for women).
ADDC found heads of MSK and One Step Center absent from duty and taking serious note of the unauthorised absence from duties, ADDC directed both the officers to explain the reason of absence within a day.
At the office of Executive Engineer Rural Engineering Wing (REW), ADDC accompanied by ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli and AD Planning, Mohd Rafi checked the attendance and working of the office.
ADDC inquired about the progress of works taken up under different Rural Development schemes and directed the officers and staff to evolve a good work culture in the office and remain punctual.
While reviewing the progress of the allotments of tenders, ADDC directed to expedite the allotment of tendered projects for timely completion of works.
He also sought a detailed report about the progress achieved under PMAY-G, MGNREGA, SBM and other schemes being implemented by RDD in the district.
While taking public feedback over the implementation of schemes of RDD on ground, he asked the officers to put in place added efforts to ensure prompt and time bound redressal of genuine public grievances.
