14 gm of heroin recovered, one peddler arrested

Jammu, Dec 03: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 14 grams of heroin from a drug-peddler during naka checking at Roop Nagar.
An active naka was laid by police teams of Police Station Janipur whereby dedicated police teams of PS Janipur led by SHO PS Janipur Inspector Nayat Ali rounded up a suspect on a vehicle bearing Registration No JK02CT-4011 coming from Roop Nagar towards Janipur side who turned suspicious on seeing police naka. On search, 14 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the suspect later identified as Bikram Singh (30 years) son of Lt Uttam Singh resident of Bodi Anand Nagar.
On this, a Case FIR No. 125/2021 u/s 8/21/22/NDPS Act got registered at Police Station Janipur and accused got arrested.
Also a challan has been produced in the principal session court against the above mentioned accused in case FIR No. 88/2014 u/s 302/120B of Police Station Channi Himmat.
The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO City West Rahul Nagar. Further investigation of the case is going on.
