Kendrapara, Oct 21: A 33-years old youth was arrested by a special police team and sent to jail for making obscene video of his girlfriend viral in social media.
Police said one, Ranjan Singh of Gandasahi village in Kendrapara district came in contact with a girl some years back and later developed a love relationship.
But due to some reasons they parted away but Ranjan decided to take revenge on his girl friend.He opened a fake account in Facebook in the name of Rupali Mohanty and uploaded nude video of his girl friend.
When the matter came to the notice of the victim , she lodged an FIR against Ranjan Singh on July 26 last.
Nikirai police later registered a case against Ranjan but could not arrest him as he fled from the village.
During investigation the police came to know that Ranjan was hiding in Bangalore. A special police team led by the former IIC of Nikirai police station Kabuli Barik, went to Bangalore and arrested him.
The accused Ranjan Singh was brought to Kendrapara on October 19 and produced before the local court which remanded him into jail custody. UNI
