Notorious bovine smuggler wanted in many cases of heinous crime arrested
*The SDPO Akhnoor has taken the challenge to clean the Akhnoor from the criminals.
*The SHO Khour played on his life and arrested the hardcore criminals,
Jammu, Aug 24:
Khour Police today achieved a major success when they arrested Mohd Mushtaq @ Gongi @ Gora son of Mohd. Mussa resident of Maralian Miran Sahib at present Troti Jourian who is a notorious criminal wanted in a number of FIRs in various Police stations of Jammu Province including murder, attempt to murder, rape, theft, etc and was evading arrest since last many years.

Police team of Police Station Khour led by Station House Officer Balwinder Singh under the direct supervision of energetic SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial conducted a search operation on the basis of input regarding presence of said absconder in the area and after hectic efforts the said criminal was arrested.

He was wanted in a murder case in PS Kud. Later he became active in Samba, Kathua and Jammu areas and was involved in various crimes including Scrap Theft, Bovine Smuggling, Cattle theft, Vehicle lifting besides attempt to murder and rape.

During the year 2019, the accused alongwith his gang was active in theft cases. In this connection five FIRs were registered by District Police Samba. He was also involved in Bovine smuggling from Punjab, Kathua and Samba areas. In January 2021, he alongwith his gang, in a well planned criminal conspiracy, raped one elderly lady. During investigation, other accused persons were arrested but he again managed to escape to Punjab and was absconding since then.

Details of FIR registered against this accused person are as under:- FIR No 25/2019 U/s 379/401/109/143/149,201,411,414 RPC of P/s Samba; FIR No 134/2019 U/s 379/401/109/143/149,201,411,414 RPC of P/s Samba; FIR No 180/2019 U/s 457/380/401/109/143/149,201,411,414 RPC of P/s Samba; FIR No 130/2019 U/s 457/380/401/109/143/149,201,411,414 RPC of P/s Vijaypur; FIR No 131/2019 U/s 457/380/401/109/143/149,201,411,414 RPC of P/s Vijaypur: FIR No 08/2021 U/s 376-D/323 IPC of P/s Vijaypur; FIR No 56/2015 U/s 302/452/ 147/148/120-B/307/353 RPC of P/s Kud; FIR No 95/2017 U/s 307, 332, 324, 147, 148,149,427,201 RPC of P/s Khour; and FIR No 453/2021 307,395,323,341,427 PS Nagrota. The nine FIR in different police stations under different charges were pending against him.
Pertinent to mention that since the accused for wanted in numerous FIRs, his arrest will help in conclusion of various heinous crime cases registered across Jammu Province besides his arrest will lead to further arrests of his accomplices and gang members which will be a major dent to the bovine smuggling nexus prevalent particular from Punjab and adjoining areas.
