MAYOR & OTHERS PAID FLORAL TRIBUTES TO DR. SHYAMA PRASHAD MUKERJEE

On the occasion of 120th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukerjee founder of Bhartiya Jan Sangh and to pay rich tribute to the legend. Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Sh. Surinder Sharma Councillor of ward no.38 today on 06/07/2021 installed a plate on the name of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukerjee opposite Police Station Janipur naming the road from Amphalla Chowk to Bantalab as Dr. Shyama Parshad Mukerjee Marg. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that a resolution moved by Sh. Surinder Sharma Councilor of the ward no.38 regarding this has already been unanimously passed by the general house of JMC and going a step forward name of the road has been done. Beside this, a chabeel in the memory of Dr. Shyama Prashad ji was also organised by the concerned councillor at Paloura Talab near Jaggi Darbar where sweetened water, cold drinks & other eatables were distributed among the needy, poor persons as well as passers by the mayor & his team.
Mayor also threw light on the life of this great personality who lived his whole life with simplicity and fight against injustice done by the successive governments to the people of India especially for J&K and rose his voice for “EK NISSAN EK VIDHAN, EK PARDHAN”, Sh Ajay Manhas, Sh Roshan Lal, Sh Rattan lal, Sh Sanjay Gupta, Sh Robin kumar, Sh Rajinder Ranna & other prominent inhabitants of the Janipur & its adjoining localities were also remained present there.
