JAMMU: Today Hon’ble Deputy Mayor JMC, Adv. Purnima Sharma took review of the developmental work of Community Hall at Banwari Temple near Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex.
After reviewing the developmental work, a meeting was also held by Adv. Purnima Sharma Hon’ble Deputy Mayor JMC with the saant samaj, devotees and locals of the area so that the community hall being developed, meets their requirements and can be useful to them.
While addressing the media Adv. Purnima Sharma said that this was an old pending work which has been done with an allotted amount of 10.5 lakhs but as per the requirement of the devotees and saant samaj, the hall needs to be extended further so that all the open area of the temple can be covered.
She further said that she will try her best to get the pending work to meet the requirements, be completed as soon as possible with the help of Engineering Wing of JMC so that it can be completed as per the needs of the devotees and the saant samaj and be used for the social and religious activities by the locals, devotees and saant samaj.
At last, Adv. Purnima Sharma appealed to the general public not to wander out of their houses unnecessarily as COVID-19 cases are on the rise again and only to go out when it’s important and while wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
Mahamandaleshwar Rameshwar Das on the occasion said that this community hall which is being constructed under the supervision of Adv. Purnima Sharma shall be completed soon and as per the requirements of the locals of the area, the devotees and the saant samaj.
He further said that as the banwaridas temple is one of the oldest religious place and this community hall being in the centre of the city, will be easily accessible for community work, social and religious activities. Further more, he thanked Adv. Purnima Sharma and JMC for doing such a virtuous act for the welfare of devotees and the saant samaj.
He further added that he hopes that Adv. Purnima Sharma keeps doing such virtuous activities for the welfare of the citizens of Jammu.
Mahant Rajesh Sharma (Mahant Bittu Ji) on behalf of the Saant Samaj thanked Adv. Purnima Sharma for the various works which have been done by her in various temples across Jammu City. He further said that he hopes that this pending work of the community hall at Banwari temple may be completed as soon as possible and is handed over to the saant samaj and devotees for religious and social activities.

Vijay Sharma (President Booth No. 02 Ward no. 01), Sh. Gopal Magotra, Sh. Madhav Singh Thakur, Sh. Madan Ji, team of booth Presidents and other prominent citizens of the area were also present.
