Rajouri, Jan 17: In the Rajouri district till Monday 34% of children in the age group of 15-18 have been vaccinated while the target was set to inoculate all the children within 6 days after the drive was launched on January 3.
On Monday District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress achieved in the vaccination of the 15-18 age group in the district.
“There is dire need to work in a coordinated manner for getting all the eligible beneficiaries in the 15-18 age group vaccinated at the earliest”, the DDC said.
275 positive cases have been detected in the Rajouri district during the last seven days including 47 on Monday.
Among the 47 who tested positive on Monday in the district are eight health workers and two international travellers.
With 47 more cases detected in the district, the tally has reached 274.

Meanwhile, the joint COVID Control teams today recovered Rs 34,750 fine from 371 violators for not adhering to COVID appropriate behaviour (CAB) taking the total amount fined since April 1, 2021 to Rs 80,58,044.
Out of 274 active cases in the district,34 are admitted in the hospitals, including in the Army & BSF, and 240 patients are in home isolations.
As many as 998 vaccine doses were administered to the children between the age group of 15-18 across the Rajouri district today, thus taking the total vaccination for this age group to 16020.
