Jammu Police Crack Miran Sahib Burning Case; Three Irrigation Employees Arrested

Jammu, Nov 15: Jammu Police have solved the case of Puran Chand (55) of R.S. Pura, who was found burnt in fields near Ring Road, Prithvipur, on November 10. He was rescued by the police team of PS Miran Sahib and shifted to GMC Jammu, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was serving as a Helper in the Irrigation Department. An FIR was registered and a thorough investigation began, with FSL examination and CCTV analysis. Footage showed the deceased purchasing petrol in a plastic container shortly before the incident. Based on technical, scientific, and circumstantial evidence, police found that the deceased had taken the step allegedly due to persistent mental harassment and withholding of salary by some senior officials. Police have arrested three employees of the Irrigation Department:
Surjeet Kumar, Incharge Ziladar
Girdhari Lal, Amin
Ram Murti @ Sani, Incharge Ziladar
Further investigation is in progress.
