Ghaziabad, Aug 26: In a bold and highly charged statement, Loni MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar has once again taken aim at the police in the ongoing controversy involving Rohingyas, Bangladeshis, and the Pinky Chaudhary case. Gurjar is demanding that the police drop the arson charges against Hindu Raksha Dal leader Pinky Chaudhary, asserting that Chaudhary acted out of necessity rather than committing any wrongdoing.
According to Gurjar, Pinky Chaudhary’s actions were in line with what the police should have undertaken in addressing the issues surrounding the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. He claimed that while Chaudhary may have engaged in physical altercations with Bangladeshis in response to the incidents involving them, he did not engage in arson.
Gurjar alleged that the real perpetrators of the arson were incorrectly identified and that the police, in a misguided move, wrongly charged Chaudhary while misrepresenting the facts.
Gurjar further criticized the police for their handling of the situation, accusing them of failing to take appropriate action against the actual offenders and instead targeting Chaudhary. He emphasized the need for the police to rectify this injustice by removing the arson charges against Chaudhary.
Additionally, Gurjar brought attention to the broader issue of the presence of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in the region. He claimed that there are approximately 10 lakh (one million) Bangladeshis residing across the entire Delhi NCR, with over 5,000 residing in the Loni area alone. Gurjar expressed frustration with what he perceives as the police’s inaction, stating that they have the means to apprehend these individuals but have chosen not to. He called for decisive police action against the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis to address the growing concerns within the community.
Gurjar’s statements underscore a significant political and social contention, highlighting the tensions surrounding the handling of migrant issues and law enforcement practices in the region.
