Illegal labs can worsen condition of patients!

Jammu, Jan 14: Initiating the prompt action against the allegedly mushrooming of illegal diagnostic laboratories
operating in the Poonch after the news published in ‘Jammu Jottings’, the Director, Health Services Jammu Dr Rajeev K Sharma shot a letter to concerned Chief Medical Officer to furnish a report within two days positively.
The Jammu Jottings had published the news in the issue of January 11, regarding the ‘Mushrooming of illegal diagnostic labs’, the Director, Health Services Jammu Dr Rajeev K Sharma noticed it, then he came in action and wrote a letter to the Chief Medical Officer Poonch vide his office letter No DHS/J/NHCE/13468 dated 12-01-2024 with a direction to furnish the report within two days positively.
The letter state as ‘Find enclosed herewith a copy of newspaper cutting and letter received from local peoples regarding the subject cited above with the instructions to look into the matter and furnish the factual report within two days positively to the office of the undersigned.’ The letter was signed by Dr Rajeev K Sharma, Director, Health Services, Jammu. The subject of the letter is as ‘Mushrooming of illegal diagnostic labs.’
The people of the Poonch are most worried about increasing of illegal and unauthorised diagnostic labs which are much dangerous for the patient going for treatment. The menace of the illegal diagnostic labs must be plugged immediate so that lives of people may be saved from dangerous repercussions.
The CMO Poonch Dr Anis Altaf Nabi told on telephone that the teams have been constituted to identify such labs and very shortly he will collect the reports from the teams and furnish to the office of Directorate. He further assured that in case any illegal lab would get detected and he would seize the lab immediately and would inform the higher authorities. The people are Poonch are very grateful to the Jammu Jottings for raising the serous issue.
