Rs. 1.20 cr property of notorious drug peddler attached under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan

AWANTIPORA, JUNE 10: In a major crackdown on the narcotics network, Awantipora Police on Wednesday attached a double-storeyed residential house worth approximately ?1.20 crore belonging to an alleged notorious drug peddler under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan.
The attached property belongs to Manzoor Mir alias “Mann Tiger”, a resident of Kadlabal Pampore, and was seized under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.
According to police, the action was taken following an enquiry conducted by Police Station Pampore under the supervision of senior officers.
Investigations revealed that the property had been acquired through proceeds generated from the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
Police stated that the residential house was identified as illegally acquired property linked to the accused’s involvement in drug-related activities.
Officials said that Manzoor Mir is involved in multiple FIRs pertaining to narcotics trafficking and other offences under the NDPS Act.
The enquiry established that the attached property was a direct outcome of earnings from the illicit drug trade.
Police described the action as part of their sustained campaign to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug traffickers and curb the spread of narcotics in the region.
By targeting assets created through proceeds of crime, law enforcement agencies aim to weaken drug networks and discourage individuals from engaging in illegal trafficking.
