JAMMU, JUNE 10: Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Dr. Rakesh Minhas and under the supervision of SDM Jammu North Dr. Deepak Kumar, the District Administration today carried out an anti-encroachment drive in Tehsil Bhalwal to remove illegal structures raised on State land.
During the operation, four shops constructed illegally on State land under Khasra No. 3456 in Village Bhalwal were demolished. The action was initiated following complaints regarding the unauthorised occupation of valuable government land located at a prime site in the area.
The demolition drive was conducted in the presence of Tehsildar Bhalwal Monika Sharma and SHO Gharota Rajesh Verma, along with officials from the Revenue and Police Departments, who ensured the smooth and peaceful execution of the operation.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment to protecting government land from encroachments and stated that strict action against illegal occupation of State land will continue in accordance with the law. The administration also urged the public to refrain from encroaching upon government property and to cooperate in maintaining public assets.
