Jammu, December 24, 2025: It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Shri Subash Mehra, the esteemed Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Jammu Jottings Newspaper.
Shri Mehra breathed his last today at Batra (ASCCOMS) Hospital after a prolonged illness. His demise has sent shockwaves through the entire Jammu Jottings family, the journalistic fraternity, and all who knew him.
A noble soul and a visionary, Shri Subash Mehra founded Jammu Jottings, laying its strong foundation. He was also the beloved father of our Managing Editor, Mohit Mehra.
King C. Bharati, who was instrumental in founding Jammu Jottings in the early 90s and shared a long, cherished association with the Mehra family, has expressed deep regret and a profound sense of huge loss at this tragic development.
We are all deeply saddened by this immense loss and pray for eternal peace for the noble soul.
