Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat to Participate in ‘Vande Ganga’ Water Conservation Campaign in Ajmer-Pushkar

Jaipur, June 15:Rajasthan’s Water Resources Minister, Mr Suresh Singh Rawat, will be on a one-day visit to Ajmer and Pushkar on Monday, June 16, to participate in water conservation and spiritual events under the ongoing ‘Vande Ganga – Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan’, a mass campaign aimed at promoting community involvement in water preservation.

As part of this mission, Minister Rawat will actively participate in shramdaan (voluntary labour) activities to promote water conservation awareness among the public and encourage a collective sense of responsibility toward sustainable water management.

According to the official schedule, Minister Rawat will depart from Jaipur at 6:15 AM and reach Ajmer by 8:00 AM, where he will attend a water conservation shramdaan program at the historic Ana Sagar Lake. The event will witness enthusiastic participation from public representatives, administrative officials, social organizations, and local residents.

Following this, the Minister will proceed to Pushkar, departing Ajmer at 9:30 AM and reaching Kapil Kund by 10:00 AM, where another shramdaan activity is scheduled. Mr Rawat will join hands with local citizens, volunteers, and officials in the cleanliness and conservation drive, aiming to inspire community participation through action and example.

Later in the day, at 1:00 PM, Mr Rawat will attend a spiritual event at Tedwa Ki Dhani (Jasnagar) in Babayacha village, Ajmer district. The program is being held in memory of the revered Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Santosh Das Ji Maharaj, who recently attained Brahmaleen. The Minister will offer his respects during the charan sthapana (footprint installation) ceremony and also be present for the chadar dastoor of his spiritual successor, Shri Balkadas Ji Maharaj.

After completing his engagements, Minister Rawat will depart from Ajmer at 4:00 PM and is scheduled to return to Jaipur by 6:00 PM.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Mr Rawat emphasized that such shramdaan initiatives under the ‘Vande Ganga’ Water Conservation Campaign are vital for building mass awareness and fostering a sense of community ownership in the state’s water conservation efforts. “These programs not only strengthen our resolve towards sustainable water use but also bring together society in a collective mission to protect our natural resources,” he stated.
