Prioritizing Rights of the Law-Abiding: No Mercy for Habitual Offenders, Says Citizens’ Voice
Repeat Offenders Exploiting Human Rights Shield to Spread Lawlessness: Urgent Need for Tougher Measures.

Jammu, June 11: In a concerning development, authorities have observed a growing trend of repeat offenders misusing the veil of human rights to shield themselves from legal consequences, thereby emboldening criminal activities and disturbing public peace.
This misuse of humanitarian protections has sparked alarm within law enforcement and civil society alike, as dangerous elements continue to operate with impunity under the pretense of rights violations. These individuals, many with extensive criminal records, show no regard for the rights or dignity of others and have been repeatedly found disrupting law and order with calculated impunity.
While human rights are the cornerstone of any civilized society, they are meant to uphold the dignity of those who respect the law, not to provide refuge for those who consistently break it. Every citizen deserves respect, but that respect must be earned through adherence to lawful and ethical conduct.
Unfortunately, society is witnessing a disturbing reversal in values-where honest, sincere, law-abiding individuals are sidelined, while manipulators, lawbreakers, and history-sheeters are gaining undue attention and leverage. This imbalance is deeply corrosive to societal harmony.
The government must enforce a strict policy ensuring that the rights of law-abiding citizens are never compromised. Human rights protection should be prioritized for those who believe in justice, equality, and the rule of law. Conversely, those who violate others’ rights repeatedly must not be allowed to misuse the law to escape punishment.
There is an urgent need for the government to draw a clear distinction between those who uphold the law and those who continually violate it. Citizens who are honest, disciplined, sincere, and hardworking must be given the highest respect and protection under the human rights framework. Unfortunately, societal dynamics have shifted to a point where cunning, powerful, and unlawful elements often command more attention than the genuine contributors to the nation’s progress.
This distortion must be corrected. The government and law enforcement agencies must ensure that the rights of law-abiding citizens are never compromised. At the same time, those who show repeated disregard for the law, including history-sheeters and chronic criminals, should not be allowed to misuse the shield of human rights.
Law enforcement agencies are urged to adopt a firm and proactive approach toward repeat criminals. A sense of deterrence must be reinstated. These individuals must not feel emboldened by legal loopholes or lenient systems. If not curbed decisively, their unchecked actions under the shield of human rights will continue to pose serious threats to societal peace and national security.
The time has come to draw a clear line: Respect and protection for the righteous, and strict action against those who defy the law repeatedly. Only then can a truly just and harmonious society be built.
The time has come for law enforcement agencies to instill a strong sense of fear among criminals, repeat offenders, and goons who show blatant disregard for the law. These elements must realize that their unlawful actions will no longer be tolerated. By asserting firm authority, the agencies must restore public confidence, uphold justice, and ensure that those disrupting peace are dealt with sternly and decisively. Rule of law must reign supreme above all.
