Rajouri, May 12: While the Pakistan Army heavily shelled and targeted the people of Rajouri and Poonch during a war-like situation, several doctors and other staff posted at GMC (Government Medical College) Rajouri were found absent from duty and had fled.
Principal of GMC Rajouri, Prof. (Dr.) A.S. Bhatia issued a notice stating that during the tense circumstances resembling war, many faculty members, consultants, senior residents, junior residents, staff nurses, paramedical staff, technical staff, ministerial staff, interns, and others assigned to GMC Rajouri abandoned their duties and fled the premises.
According to the Principal, several individuals were absent from duty on May 7 without prior information or official permission, and did not record their biometric attendance.
As a result, their salaries have been withheld. Furthermore, Several Doctors Flee from GMC Rajouri during a War-like Situation; the Principal Halts Salaries, and this will be entered into their service records and service books.
